Music

1–2 minutes

Have you ever thought about what you want to hear as you are dying?  What many of us end up hearing is the chatter of medical staff and the beeping of machines.  Have you ever thought that there may be other options?

An End of Life Doula can help you prepare a playlist of your favorite music, or music that would bring you a sense of peace.  Your Doula would then follow through and make sure that your music is being played for you as you are in the transitioning process.  This can easily be done at home or even in the hospital.  Imagine choosing what you want to hear at the end of life.

Music is powerful.  It has the ability to relieve anxiety, ease pain, and open blockages.

Music can provide a connection between you and those surrounding you.

Music can also be extremely helpful in the grieving process.  It has the ability to help us honor the memory of our loved ones.  It helps us remember special times and connect with good memories.

Music is a very viable option to add to your conscious dying plan.
