Barbara Caudill
Certified Clarity Breathwork Practitioner, Grief Educator, End of Life Coach, Death Doula
I am at a beautiful point in my life where I am embracing self-love, deeper thinking, and emotional connection, both with myself and those around me. My journey has led me to a profound passion for working with grief and death, and I’ve dedicated myself to learning and healing through various modalities. Through my own journey and the work I do, Clarity Breathwork has shown itself to be a profound and gentle ally in the healing of grief.
Professional Background and Expertise
With over 27 years of experience in oncology as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist, I have been inspired to explore purposeful ways to support others, especially in navigating grief and end-of-life experiences. This journey led me to become a certified Clarity Breathwork practitioner, completing Levels 1-5 with the founders of Clarity Breathwork, Ashanna Solaris and Dana Darma Devi. It has also led me to become a member of the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance and International Breathwork Foundation. This conscious, connected rhythm of breathing has been the most powerful tool I’ve encountered, offering safe, gentle, and liberating healing. In addition to Clarity Breathwork, I am certified as a Grief Educator through David Kessler and as an End of Life Coach and Death Doula through the Conscious Dying Institute.
Personal Journey and Inspirations
Art and nature are integral parts of my life. I have rediscovered a deep love for painting and often spend time kayaking, hiking, and sitting in quiet communion with the natural world. These practices ground me in presence and remind me of the wisdom that lives in the body, the breath, and the earth itself. Nature continues to be one of my greatest teachers—mirroring the rhythms of birth, growth, decay, and renewal, and offering a gentle invitation to trust the cycles of life.
My path has been profoundly shaped by the study and practice of Clarity Breathwork, guided by the wisdom and compassion of the founders, Ashanna Solaris and Dana Dharma Devi. Through years of immersive training and personal healing, I have come to know the breath as a sacred bridge—between body and spirit, grief and love, holding and release. Breathwork has taught me how to sit with what is tender, how to create safety for deep emotional truth, and how to trust the innate intelligence within each person to find their own way home. The wisdom I carry is not only learned, but lived—through my own journey of healing, remembering, and opening to life again after loss.
I am deeply grateful for the guidance of Dakota Earth Cloud Walker at Gaia Wisdom School, where I have walked the teachings of the Medicine Wheel. This mentorship has offered a profound understanding of the seasons of the soul, the directions, and the sacred transitions we all move through. It has enriched my capacity to honor death as a continuation of life, and grief as an expression of enduring love.
Most recently, my greatest initiation has been walking alongside my beloved mother, Jean, through her final months and her peaceful passing. To “walk her home” was a holy experience—one that deepened my reverence for the dying process, for the subtle language of the breath, and for the immense love that surrounds the threshold between worlds. In accompanying her with presence, prayer, tenderness, and trust, I received teachings no book or training could offer: how to soften into the unknown, how to hold space without fixing, and how love continues beyond form.
I cherish my relationship with my daughter, Michaela, whose strength, compassion, and open heart inspire me daily. Together, across three generations, my mother, my daughter, and I have shared a sacred weaving of love, caregiving, and soul remembrance. They have been among my greatest teachers—showing me resilience, surrender, and the beauty of love that transcends time.
All of these experiences—breath, earth, lineage, and loss—inform the way I walk with others. They shape how I listen, how I hold space, and how I trust the innate wisdom within each person’s journey through grief, healing, and transformation.
